We had a minor earthquake after lunch. My desk shook slightly. It crossed my mind that it might have been a quake, but since I didn't see any handy glass of water nearby (I check if the water is moving) and nobody else seemed to notice, I shrugged it off as either Rose shoving a ream of bond paper into the shelf near my desk or my imagination. I went downstairs and forgot about it until I came back up and Jenjen announced that there was an earthquake in the news online.
Then I got a call from Vicky, a family friend who had just arrived at the airport. They had been about to land when suddenly the plane veered. The pilot came on the loudspeaker and announced that the tower had told them to abort the landing due to the earthquake. Fortunately after they circled around, they tower gave the all-clear and they were allowed to touch down.

Because of what happened to Japan, kabado na ko sa earthquakes. Hindi kasi ako sigurado kung handa tayo sakaling mangyari satin yun. :(
