Today, Emmie and I went to Iligan for Mai Mai's wedding. Mai works in Japan, and one of the traditions there is for a bride to fold a thousand paper cranes so that they may be granted a good and happy marriage. The task is laborious but is a symbol of the bride's patience and love for her husband-to-be.
Mai herself folded all the cranes that decorated the ballroom, and it is quite obvious that Ramy appreciates her efforts.
Best wishes, Mai! May you and Ramy have a long and happy life together!

Wow! A thousand cranes!
ReplyDeleteI like the concept. :)
